Because Everything is Better in Chocolate (a.k.a. You Capture - Food)

Pumpkin Bread/Muffins

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1 c. sugar
1 t. baking soda
1 c. pumpkin puree
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. water
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. allspice (if you have it in your pantry; otherwise, tastes fine without)
1/2 c. walnuts lots and lots of chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Sift together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking soda.

Mix the pumpkin, oil, eggs, water, and spices together, then combine with the dry ingredients, but do not mix too thoroughly. Stir in the nuts chocolate.

Pour into a well-buttered loaf pan or muffin tin. Bake until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Good. Batter. Without chocolate.

Better. Batter. With chocolate. Yum!

Good. Plain pumpkin bread made especially for the Mister with love because he prefers his quick breads sans chocolate. Which means he doesn't really know how to Live.

Better. Pumpkin bread muffins laced with chocolate.

Ohhhh! I love a new recipe; especially one that substitutes chocolate chips for walnuts. I'm definitely going to try this and not just because of the recipe but because of the pictures and narrative as well. Very entertaining!

I've been meaning to try some more pumpkin recipes, inspired by a lot of the US blogs I've read. Now I have a tasty recipe, the chocolate really helped convince me! Thanks for the recipes.
