Live Every Moment - Trees

I'm about treed out this winter--I tired of taking pictures of snow laden branches sooner than I tired of photographing beautiful autumn leaves. Of course, the fact that this snow and ice is dragging on and on...

Despite the fact that I am yearning to see some green leaves on these trees, I did snap a couple of new photos this week. This first one is from our field trip to the state capitol:
Tree - Capitol Building

And this one I took on the first day I dared venture out after the most recent snow and ice event. I knew the going would be precarious (for a southern driver like me anyway), so I didn't even bring along my camera. How I regretted that when I saw these icy trees sparkling so brightly in the morning sun. iPhone to the rescue, although I still wish I had had my Nikon because it would have been easier to get rid of some of those dark shadows in RAW. Anyway, I still like the composition of it:
Perkins Road

I took this picture after the very first big storm up here in Connecticut...back when snow was still a novelty, and all I wanted to do was photograph its beauty:

And I know you've seen these two before (like last week on the second one), but I'm a little anal retentive, so when I title a post "Trees", I like to get all of my trees in one place, thankyouverymuch. So please forgive me!

Oh wow! The sky is so blue in the first one and the snow photos are stunning. The colors are really beautiful. I really enjoyed your photos since I don't get to see snow in person.

Beautiful photos! I know what you mean. I feel the exact same way. I looked forward to the snow, being housebound with books...but now enough is enough...I want spring!

These are gorgeous, Katy! I have a thing for trees myself and so often see ones here that I would love to photograph. But of course I'm no photographer.
