Almost, but not completely - at least not until I meet him or her. :-)tsinclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15889571064190993005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-21399141164493762482010-06-17T11:30:34.212-04:002010-06-17T11:30:34.212-04:00Good luck!Good luck!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05358631883472544059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-90820779164681787882010-06-17T10:45:44.836-04:002010-06-17T10:45:44.836-04:00I always feel like a bad mommy that we've neve...I always feel like a bad mommy that we've never gotten our little guy a puppy. We do have a cat that follows him around LIKE a dog would, but somehow it's just not the same!

I love the puppy FUNd idea! Great thinking...and the puppies are adorable. It's gonna be hard to choose!! Maybe you should take two! :-)Lindahttp://joysandrewards.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-32381883934067398752010-06-17T06:01:47.138-04:002010-06-17T06:01:47.138-04:00Funny how things happen. The owners did not want her anymore because she was too much trouble to care for. After nursing her back to health (she had heartworm) she has been the sweetest most loyal dog ever. I honestly don't know what I'd do without my dear Daisy dog!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01169693305157071792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-51267100610448453132010-06-17T04:39:23.985-04:002010-06-17T04:39:23.985-04:00Are those Cocker Spaniels? I don't have to pay for it or potty train it. bwahahahaha!

At least you know it will be a much loved addition to the family.

And since it will be more work for you, it's a good thing you already have 4 kids. That way you're already trained....

Seriously though, my 20-yr old's dog died in this past year. So we now only have the 14-yr old's. And they did most of the work. I did do the initial potty training and then handed the reins over to them.

And a dog is great for school! Research on the particular breed, creative writing, and even spelling words... ;o)CrossViewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14083392878830138266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-69984398380008031312010-06-17T00:04:03.170-04:002010-06-17T00:04:03.170-04:00Don't discount the pound or other shelters so ...Don't discount the pound or other shelters so quickly. Try breed specific rescue groups too. We got our pure bred, papered, yellow lab from the pound. The owners were moving and couldn't/wouldn't take her with them. When we got her I had all the same criterion you had, older, chill etc. Princess was 5 when we got her. She was much calmer than a pup and a year or so out of her chewing phase. If we had not adopted her she would have been put down that day....pound pups *know* and are sooooo grateful for the rescue.

Rescue groups are a good source too since the dogs will have been in homes and house training and social skills will have been worked on if not perfected.

Just something to think about.Khakismumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02356918383783859166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-1527545156111296722010-06-16T21:21:08.230-04:002010-06-16T21:21:08.230-04:00OH. GOODNESS--so very cute!!

My sister had a Labradoodle that she adored...sadly, she wasn't able to keep her due to allergies, but the dog was a sweetie--had all the qualities you're looking for. I hope this new little one is the perfect match for your sweet family!ballast photographyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08747843122720438343noreply@blogger.com
