It was a velvet-y blanket with satin trim around the edges. he didn't start clinging to it until around a year old now he's a little over 2. Through last summer he kept falling over it as it was so big it dragged the ground. So we cut it into four's. Now we have extras if we misplace the others! LOL and it's so sweet it's gonna be hard to see him grow up into more 'serious boy' things so I cherish it :)Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09166788604435523551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-67983778117712521002011-01-24T20:07:05.160-05:002011-01-24T20:07:05.160-05:00My older daughter did not have a blankie...but my ...My older daughter did not have a blankie...but my younger daughter had a quilt I made her. Pink & the same material- only it's a bunny. She loves it & for a long time it went everywhere with her. I think she is finally old enough to put it in the time capsule- but I totally understand this story. My son, now 12, still sleeps with "Puppy Dog", a formerly white stuffed animal given to him in NICU by his big sister.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01169693305157071792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889397584245537705.post-42772475926861379242011-01-24T06:21:33.857-05:002011-01-24T06:21:33.857-05:00so sweet Kathleen, Miranda has a big dog that she&...so sweet Kathleen, Miranda has a big dog that she's slept on since she was a baby. We carried it from house to house until I finally bought one to keep here. I've always called her Sunshine and a year or so ago she told me she was too old to be called Sunshine now, but at 10 she's still not too old for her dog and that makes me happy.<br />Our babies grow so fast, the memories they create become so sweet. love your post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
